CIJE Makerspace Tour & Fusion 360 Bootcamp
Learn how to equip your students with real-world engineering skills in this hands-on Fusion 360 Bootcamp.
📆 March 6, 2025
⌚ 9:45 AM – 2:45 PM
📍 JEC Makerspace
You’re preparing students for tomorrow’s careers. But keeping up with industry-standard tools can be challenging. That’s why we’ve designed this immersive 5-hour bootcamp specifically for middle and high school STEM educators in the CIJE network.
Fusion 360 is a cloud-based computer-aided design (CAD) software that lets you create 3D models and designs for manufacturing, engineering, and product development.
By experiencing an active makerspace, teachers can explore hands-on tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and a woodworking shop while observing real workflow solutions for managing student projects and equipment. They’ll also gain practical project ideas and safety protocols by seeing how other educators successfully integrate maker education into their curriculum.
What You’ll Learn:
- Essential parametric modeling skills used in real engineering environments
- Proven teaching strategies to effectively introduce 3D modeling concepts
- Time-saving workflows that prevent common student mistakes
- Practical techniques for translating 2D sketches into powerful 3D models
