In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to guide your students in designing creative dreidels with TinkerCAD. Perfect for beginners, this session equips you with tools to guide your class, inspire creativity, and explore 3D design basics. We will also review the newest design fab curricular unit.
Following this workshop, you’ll be ready to launch an exciting design challenge for your students. Submit student designs and videos on this Padlet by January 6, 2025. Winners get $25 Amazon gift cards!

Student 3D Printed Dreidel Challenge
Blend creativity, engineering, and Jewish tradition by designing your own 3D-printed dreidel in CAD software.
🏆 Compete for awards in 4 categories:
- Artistic: Most visually appealing
- Originality: Unique design and creativity
- Endurance: Longest spinning time
- Innovative: Unique alternate use
✅ Submission requirements:
- Video of the dreidel spinning
- 3D design file in STL or other CAD formats
- Upload the design & video files to Padlet
🛠️ Design spec requirements:
- Size Limit: Dreidel is no more than 3 square inches
- Software: TinkerCAD, Fusion 360 & more
- Materials: Any filament
- File Format: STL only
